Installing Lamin-x Headlight Film
Hey everyone Lucas at Lamin-x, and today we have this Audi q7 Quattro in the shop, and I'm going to be showing you guys how to install Lamin-x pre-cut kits on the headlights, turn signals, and fog lights of this vehicle. Let's get started
Starting with the headlight, we're just going to clean the surface of the light from any dust, dirt, or lint that we don't want to get trapped underneath the adhesive as we install the Lamin-x. Then we're going to gently mist the outside of the light with our water solution, and remove the Lamin-x from the liner. And then we'll take our water solution again and just gently mist the outside of the light once more, so that as we're trying to move the Lamin-x into position, we're not stretching it.
Now start in one corner of the headlight and start to align the Lamin-x and gently apply it down using your fingers. One thing about our pre-cut kits is that they do require perfect alignment, which can be a little bit challenging on complex lights such as this one. And then we'll use our squeegee with a moderate to firm pressure to squeegee the rest of the water out from underneath the film. It's important to make sure you're using all your fingers equally distributed on the squeegee with a firm to moderate pressure to squeegee the rest of the water out from underneath the lamin-x.
Once your Lamin-x precut kit is all applied down all you'll have to do now is trim off the handling tabs, and then your entire headlight is protected.
Moving on to the driving light, turn signal, this is actually a really easy installation compared to the headlight. We're gonna remove our Lamin-x and use our finger to line it up, use our finger to apply it down in kind of a sweeping motion. All the way down the light making sure all the Lamin-x is installed. You can even use a squeegee to squeegee this down if you need to, and we actually have a little bit of excess Lamin-x in this case that we're going to have to trim off which is no big deal.
And then we'll repeat the same process with our fog light. Just cleaning the surface of any dust dirt or lint removing our Lamin-x from the liner and just tacking it into position with our fingers and then using a squeegee to further install that Lamin-x all the way down. And all of our pre-cuts install within the trim bezels so you don't have to worry about removing any trim to install these products. And now all of the lights on this Audi q7 are completely protected. If you want to learn more about our pre-cut kits, go to our website www.lamin-x.com or watch our previous installation videos. Thanks for watching, and have a great day take care.
