What is the difference between Lamin-x Rear Bumper Guard kits and other products I find? Can I install this myself? Yes, you can install Lamin-x yourself. These applications are normally low difficulty installations. A few applications with a 3, 4, or 5 level difficulty will require some acquired knowledge and mechanical ability in which we cannot be held accountable. Therefore installations are done at your risk. We provide you with installation instructions, tools, and website videos. If you are not comfortable with the installation, you can use our Dealer Locator to find a local installer. How long will it take to get my Lamin-x? Precut orders are custom manufactured for you at time of ordering. Please allow 2-4 workday's processing time, and at least 2-10 days for delivery after the product has been shipped. You are responsible to make prior arrangement with the carrier if you are not available to receive and sign for the product. Lamin-x is not responsible if the product is verified as delivered with the carrier to the specified address, but you personally did not receive it.

What do I do if I find fogginess, air or water bubbles, surface texture, or scratches after my Lamin-x installation? Once the film fully cures, most imperfections will disappear completely. After time, small scratches, trapped moisture, and most bubbles will dissipate on their own. However, if you encounter a stubborn bubble, you can poke it with a sewing needle and push out the air or water. The hole will eventually close on its own.

How do I remove the film from my paint? To remove the film, we recommend warming it with a heat gun, hair dryer, or simply by parking the car in the sunlight on a warm day. While the film is warm, slowly peel the film from the paint surface. Any adhesive that may be left on the paint can be removed with a cleaner that is safe for use on your vehicle's exterior. We recommend using Goo Gone or bug and tar remover.

Perfect FIt and excellent quality

2016 Honda CRV rear bumper laminate fits better and was easier to install than the factory issued item from Honda. The furnished soft sleeve that fits over the squeegee was a better product than Honda's sleeve that was equivalent to wax paper that marred their factory laminate. Looking forward to purchasing more products.

2015 Honda CR-V rear bumper guard

I have put vinyl wrap on my entire carbon mountain bike frame and that was extremely difficult so I wasn't too worried about installing a guard on my daughter's recently purchased used car. This car had 60,000 miles on it so the rear bumper wasn't in perfect condition but she has a dog that rides with her regularly and we wanted to keep the bumper from getting thoroughly trashed from her paws and claws. It does take some patience with installing vinyl to get it in the "perfect" position but I have learned that you can pull the vinyl back up if you are careful to not rip it or stretch it too much. If it gets a bit too stretched, if you give the vinyl a minute or two to "relax" back to original. A blow dryer on low to medium heat also helps after installation to shrink it back up. You don't want too hot otherwise you shrink it too much and ruin it. It is important to make sure you have clean hands free of lotion or oil before handing the vinyl and it is important to have a clean surface in which to lay out the vinyl. I do wish the guard would of been a little wider for better coverage on top of the bumper. It only covers about 2" of the approximately 4" surface. If it had better coverage I certainly would of given 5 stars. I have included photos but it is difficult to see on black paint and the garage lights reflected too much in the photo. It was also just under $30 so honestly it's still a great deal! For any of our new vehicle purchases, I'll definitely buy from Lamin-x if they have what I need and save myself a bunch of money installing it myself.

Crv rear bumper protector

The protector came in a great user experience. It was easy to install and the instruction was straight forwarded. However I did not like how small it was. It doesn’t cover the whole areas and can still be easily scratched getting things from the trunk.

Honda CR-V 2016 Rear Bumper Guard

LAMIN-X is wanting a review on this item just received about a week ago. 1 star. Original Bumper Guard was not the right fit. Too small, by a long shot, to do any good as for as protecting the bumper. 5 stars to a very good customer service person who took the time to research the problem and send a Bumper Guard that fit well, and was large enough to do what it is supposed to do. Protect the rear bumper area. My thanks to him. Note. Make, model, and year of vehicle is required when ordering these products. Evidently it's not needed. 3 stars as for as quality. Can't give it a good, or bad quality rating because it's only been on the bumper for 1 day. Should ask for these reviews about a year after product was sent to consumer. Only time will tell if this is a good, or bad product. Don't know now.
