What is your warranty? We have a Five-Year Warranty on our products. If you want more information please visit our warranty page .

What do I do if I find fogginess, air or water bubbles, surface texture, or scratches after my Lamin-x installation? Once the film fully cures, most imperfections will disappear completely. After time, small scratches, trapped moisture, and most bubbles will dissipate on their own. However, if you encounter a stubborn bubble, you can poke it with a sewing needle and push out the air or water. The hole will eventually close on its own.

How do I remove the film from my lights? To remove the film, we recommend warming it with a heat gun, hair dryer, or simply by parking the car in the sunlight on a warm day. While the film is warm, slowly peel the film from the lens surface. Any adhesive that may be left on the lens can be removed with a cleaner that is safe for use on your vehicle's exterior.

Are these films legal in my state? Our colored films may not be legal for street use on a vehicle's primary lighting, and, as such, are sold with an off-road use disclosure. Please check your state or local laws before installation. Application of colored Lamin-x film on your primary lights is done so at your own risk.

Tail Light tint for 2012 Optima Hybrid

The material is a thick, durable film. I can attest to this since I tinted my fogs 3 years ago with no peeling. Given the contours of my tail lights these were much more difficult to install. It was difficult to fill the negative space of undercuts. It was also difficult to round one of the facets on the side. I had to make relief cuts which are difficult to see but still visible. As I was doing the second one I got better at squeegeeing as I applied it instead of placing first and then squeegee. The heat gun also helped a lot. I couldn't help but wonder if Lamin-X could produce a die and stamp it into the shape of the contour at the same time punching the material out. My guess is this would be expensive to make for every year and model, but would stretch the material into the desired shape to match the contours perfectly. I'm also guessing these are currently cut by hand on a jig. Other than this, I am happy with the purchase.

2013 kia optima

Installed on my 2013 kia optima. Installation was easy. Only bad thing is you can tell its a film. It's not like painted smooth tail lights. But not a permanent thing either, so great if you decide to go back to factory

Lamin-X Rear Tailight Tint - Charcoal

The Good: Durable, easy enough to apply if you pay attention. Long enough working time so you can work out air bubbles. After 3 days, all small bubbles are gone, looks great. THE VERY BAD: Poor fit. The Film for the side pieces of my lights were cut too small. They were short aprox 1/8 of an inch, top to bottom. As a result, they did not wrap about the light, and no matter how you positioned it, they still left part of the taillight showing. I had to plasti-dip the tops of the lights, to cover them up. Great Product, Poor Implementation.
